Wow Wall - help me feel success in my learning!

Ultimately, pride comes from having a sense of ownership in something. So, the first thing we have to remember is that in order for students of any age to have pride in anything, they must first feel as if they have some control over their learning and their ideas matter.

The WOW wall in Room 23 is designed for children to display what they are proud of during their day. They can come to us at anytime and we can take a photo to print or put up their work they feel is awesome.This does not need to be from traditional subjects such as writing and maths.  Some children may not feel successful in these areas until much further in their education. This is a space where they can be proud of the drawing they did all by themselves, the building they created for their dinosaurs or the way they flipped the bean bag in the right direction to knock over the boxes. When we feel pride we feel special, we feel we belong, we feel happy and we are open to taking risks and learning in a variety or ways and at our own speed.
